Dear Joplin Slasher Player,
It is important that every player report to Joplin no later than
Tuesday, May 27th,
2008. If you cannot make it, please contact the
coaches or general manager and we
will plan accordingly. Our first game will be held
Sunday June 1st against the
Chillicothe Mudcats of the MINK League.
We will be forwarding information about you host family
very soon, Please make
every effort to contact them as soon as possible
and we encourage you to talk to
them several times before you arrive in Joplin.
There is a player fee that is required from all players in the amount of
$100.00. This
player fee goes toward your insurance, team
T-shirts, shorts, socks and team cap.
These items are part of your uniform and are you
responsibility. They are yours to
keep, but you will be required to replace them if lost.
Please fill out the enclosed
player bio sheet and return with your player fee. Make
checks payable to Slasher
Baseball.
The next thing that we are asking is that you bring 2
items of clothing or hats from
your respective programs. We will use these items to
auction off during our home
games. This is a unique and fun fundraiser for our fans.
The money will help defray
some of our cost incurred during the summer. Please ask
your coach if he can help
you with providing these items. Suggested sizes need to
be adult large and up.
